Ok, I was in Europe recently with very few English shows unless you like Kardashians and Queer eye. So, I rewatched this.

In season 2, Tom goes aboard this ship with Karen. The overlord offers a deal to end the fight. He said through Karen: We didn't expect this must resistance.

And then in season 5, the Queen says she was here 1500 years ago and found the same problem, too much resistance.

If they were here 1500 years ago when we fought with fire, stones, bows, arrows, etc. what did they expect now? And why would they expect less??

I found the show full of holes with bad acting but still enjoyed it and the premise. Still it's things like that that drive me insane.

The 1st queen being killed by spears was laughable. Anne being brought back at the end was another Mason family getting their way. Also the episode where the daughter is at their camp has Maggie rallying people to go kill her than a little later she is on her side! Hal was upset with Maggie at first then acted like he wanted his sister dead! Maybe two ideas were filmed and they blended them wrong?!?
Pope sounded like the voice of the viewers! Too bad he went bad and died.

Mason family getting their way? I think that one was earned by Anne's actions alone regardless of who she was. The chances of success before the changes Marty made with Anne's help would have been slim because it probably would have killed Tom before he got to the Queen. As it was she was killed because it infected Tom without immediately killing him while she was feeding on him; if he had died it might not have worked. That Dornia knew pretty much everything that had happened, including everything Anne had done.

That was not the Queen 1500 years earlier, it was her daughter (Princess?). She was a mother here to avenge her daughter's death, not pissed off because of any physical harm to herself.

They didn't expect that much resistance because they came back with a larger force. Based on the pictures shown, her daughter came with only two or three espheni. I also think the comment by Karen was just to convince him to get on the ship.
