I've never been able to figure out the significance of this line, and since its the last words we hear from this particular character it seems like it must mean something. Help!

shareThe cop's mistake was that he didn't think teachers were smart, and thought even less of a teacher at a community college. It might be a common assumption, but it's not a very bright one to think a college teacher isn't smart. Most are.
