So sad...

A Haunting in Georgia, the documentary, has always been particularly frightening and interesting to me because I'm also from Georgia. I've been looking forward to this for years, but this just looks awful. It looks like they took the names of the real people and crafted their own story around it, and an unoriginal one at that. This looks like every other cheap haunting movie to come out in the past few years. I didn't even see any mention of Mr. Gordy in the trailer, and he is the creepiest part of the story. So disappointed in this...

And that title? Seriously?

The title is completely nonsensical. Not only does this story not take place in Connecticut, but it isn't an actual sequel to THIC. Both stories are simply adapted from the same documentary series.

From a marketing perspective, it still makes no sense. Obviously studios love to cash in on a franchise title, but it wasn't like the first HIC became some revered, instant classic. If anything, the title will probably hurt box office numbers, since the casual public will assume this is an actual sequel, thus those who haven't seen the first one won't want to go see this. It's actually the reason why a lot of franchises often stop numbering sequels after the first few (Halloween "6" for example).
