From what I have heard it will be filmed in Canada.

I just read that it will be filmed in Baton Rouge. Sounds like a mess to me.
shareEverywhere in Georgia including Atlanta looks like any ol'e cookie cutter or small country town city.. So you can pretty much film Georgia in any other city or town and get the same affect..
Baton Rouge has a lot of attributes Georgia has, in fact some parts look better in Baton Rouge than in Georgia.
I think it's a good scouting of locations.. Georgia is a horrible place to film movies.
It might have been a crew issue (with so many GA projects), or more likely, an incentive from LA. GA has a good incentive program, but I believe that Louisiana's is a bit better. Films are rarely shot in the actual location, of course. Sometimes it can be pulled off, sometimes not. "The Mist" really suffered from filming in Shreveport - New England is essential for most Stephen King stories, and Louisiana is a weak substitute.

It was predominantly filmed in Baton Rouge Louisiana. A skeleton crew was flown to Georgia to pick up insert shots to trick people into thinking it was actually filmed in Georgia. Louisiana films pretty much darn everything right now (with CA and NY money).
