Which movie this was a "sequel" to.

When we first see the old guy, Mr. Gordy, I thought that was Donald Sutherland and this movie was a sort of continuation of "An American Haunting". I had to look up the original HIC to figure out what movie was which.

I do no harm, I keep to myself; there's nothing wrong with my state of mental health.

I don't think this is sequel or prequel or something.

Overall this film was not even near to the level of The haunting in Connecticut.That was much better made and you are confusing two films.The one in which Donald was,American Hauntinghttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0429573/?ref_=sr_1
and this one was different.
