Lisa and the pills

She was so stupid. She knew she'd see "ghosts" and stuff between her last dose of meds and the next.....

She's been on it for years.

And yet she never thought of taking them so she'd never have that off-time????

What an idiot.

I do no harm, I keep to myself; there's nothing wrong with my state of mental health.

Uh, I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. First of all, most people want to make it without the pills, that's just natural to want to do. The less you take, the better. Secondly, who knows if it didn't wear off before it was time to take her next dose. You don't want to overdose, it's heavy stuff going into your body. Lastly, I've never personally taken any but have you ever heard anyone describe the way they make you feel? I've been told you don't feel like yourself, you feel spacey, and/or fatigued. Even just high strength pain pills (which I have taken) can make you weak and tired. I couldn't imagine taking them regularly.

As for the taking them for years comment sometimes the doctors have to adjust the dosage or switch meds because either they stop being effective or what have you.

Wait...which incident are you referring to?

You do not *beep* around with the dosage of neuroleptics. Your brain chemistry is extremely delicate.
