I remember when this came out and I saw the commercials. I thought: This looks interesting. Family issues kept me from going to see it.

For some reason I have still yet to see it.

The whole idea of this movie is boring. It’s the pilot episode of the 60s TV series, Man Into Space. This was Sandy’s last stand.

Seeing it on a huge Imax screen in 3D was absolutely thrilling. It is still a very good film on its own but the 3D worked incredibly well. At times it felt like the debris in scenes was floating right past our heads, like you could reach out and grab it.
