Mini-reassessment

It's been a few years since this was released but I think it's safe to say that Gravity is overrated and didn't deserve the Oscar for directing...

Have any of you even bothered to re-watch it?

Once you get past the special effects, it's such a small and inconsequential movie... I really think critics tend to overdo their praise of special effects movies... First Avatar, then this one... They really are just one-trick ponies...

I liked watching Gravity in the theatre, it was good, but nowhere near the kind of adulation it received... It's basically just [spoiler]Sandra Bullock floating from one spaceship piece to the next for the duration of the movie...[/spoiler]
