Just glad it didn't end like open water.
I figured from the trailer that she was totally s.o.l. I only watched the movie after a friend revealed that the Bullock character lived.
shareThe whole point of the story was to arrive at the scene where she would get out of her comfortable escapeist bubble, and get herself back on her feet (into mundane reality) and accept the "gravity" of life. So of course she had to finally arrive on land.
