Did Gravity deserve all that it got?

Am I the only one who freaking hated and was bored with this movie? Like 7 oscars, are you kidding me? Like what was so great about it I wonder? Also, not a huge fan of Sandra Bullock and I'm pretty sure she ruined it for me a lot.

Great visuals and score. Story and acting was lame. Ryan was such an idiot. How'd she make it through her ordeal let alone the program? Matt should've been the one to survive.

The movie is very overrated. There are so many holes in the plot that you could fly the Shuttle through them. Like where she instinctively knows how to operate the controls in both the Russian and Chinese space craft and she's a rookie astronaut.......not very believable.

It should have won Best Picture Oscar too...

Nope, the writing was poor, the characters paper-thin, and the direction heavy-handed. But I think the Oscars have a pretty uneven track record. They frequently reward mediocre films (Gladiator, Gravity, Revenant, Crash etc).
