I never understood why anyone would watch this. There was a TV series in the late 50s or early 60s, Man Into Space, and its one-hour premiere episode was identical to this. It had a much smaller budget, it took half the time (so it was less boring) had didn’t have Sandy Bullock. It did have commercials, however.
