I have PTSD, could I handle this film?
I can handle blood and gunshots in moderate amounts, it's really only when it gets excessive and overly graphic that I have trouble. Would I be able to watch this?

shareNo gunshots in the film. A couple beatings, the last one being a bit bloody.
The movie does follow D.S. Robertson into a complete mental breakdown though.
You'll be fine with the film. It does show a man's descent into insanity which can be a little disturbing but there isn't really anything too graphic. I wouldn't advise reading the book though
sharePTSD through violently traumatic encounters or similar experiences you should be fine with....
That said, if ur PTSD stems from a divorce/spouse leaving you, losing a child or brother/sister through death or abandonment, or drug use, avoid this, because with those 3 things it can get intense.
If sexual violence disturbs you, I might skip it. There isn't a lot of blood and gore but it's still disturbing.
