Seriously underrated and found that score surprising. Id have it up at 8.

Sensational twist and mcavoys performance was brilliant.

Agreed, one of the few movies I rated a 9. One of the best i've seen in years.

Should be higher based on McAvoy's performance alone.

McAvoy's good performance is too little. Filth is shallow, unfunny, cynical, homophobic, uninteresting and forgettable. More like 5/10 than 7.1/10.

Homophobic?! You're mixing up the character's horrible traits with the film. There's nothing "homophobic" about Filth - the whole idea is that we condemn Bruce's behaviour because of his prejudices, not celebrate it.
