shareI think this place will liven up and actually be imdb version 2.0 if people started regularly posting on the tv series and film/actor/actress/director boards as they used to. Right now, most are just chilling in General Discussion.
shareI hope you are right. This is probably how imdb's message boards started. It took a small group of people were just chillin and then word got out, more interesting newcomers breathed life into the discussions and after awhile traffic picked up to where there was someone always posting on every board.
shareIf the movies etc had more info, this place would probaby repace imdb and wikipedia as primary quick search engines as people would most be a bit slow t register for discusson if they have to jump sites for it. Rome wasn't built in a day. :)
sharetmdb is set up very much like imdb. There is movie info like Cast and crew information for titles, budget info, trailers, some photos of the movie posters, content like reviews and ratings, user lists, and message boards. But the traffic is very slow. I think the message boards have a lot to do with the flow of traffic. People aren't discussing the movies or shows in a positive way. They are just random topic of conversations about irrelevant things about the movie, tv show or celebrity.
shareI took another look at the site (looked at it before signing up here) and I actually hadn't noticed the discussion tabs on the movie pages etc. Here it's like the discussion angle is pushed more. I like that.

Should pick up significantly once ths summer season is in full swing and then when the festival circuit really gets going leading into Oscar season
I am. Ever since they closed the forums there I've been looking for a replacement and this has been the best site I've found.
