Anyone who rejects their advances are then blacklisted or forced out of the film industry. This film shows that women can also have their traits especially when they reach the level of fame and power that Lydia Ta'r has. She promotes women that she fancies and uses her power to cancel those that displease her. Power corrupts even in the cultured world of classical music.
