Does TLC air anything other than Cake Boss?
Even during the height of Trading Spaces mania the network would air other programs and even created Trading Spaces-inspired shows like While You Were Out to make the quick-n-cheap home decor thing a little more diverse, but every time I turn on TLC it's Cake Boss. Turn it on Sunday afternoon? Cake Boss. Turn on TLC on Monday night? Cake Boss. Late weekday afternoon? Cake Boss. Cake Boss! Cake Boss!
I watched this show a few times when it came out and found the guy to be nothing but an ass. Even Paul Sr. of American Chopper had an endearing quality that came through as he was barking at someone, but this Cake Boss guy is just an ass. His worship of his dead father was probably an attempt to make the guy seem like a real human, but it just comes across creepy: alright already! We get it, we get it.
For some reason people like him. I get that. But for the love of all that is holy can't TLC put at least one other show on their schedule sometime?
Oh wait, I forgot! They have Sister Wives and The Human Gerbil that squirts out babies every 9 months. Wow. What amazing programming.
Civility is just a warm and fuzzy name for censorship.
