That doesn't think his cakes look all that great. Even when he used to be on the food network doing the cake challenge.. i always thought his stuff looked very child like and thrown together. I always think his cakes are cute but not all that amazing. I've seen shows like Amazing Cakes on WEtv and Ace of Cakes on the food network. Their stuff seems more clean and professional looking.
shareThe cakes in his store window are nice. From the cake shows I've seen that one older, plumper woman seems to have AMAZING cakes.
But I work around the corner from the shop and the lines to get inside the place are beyond ridiculous. And the quality at the bakery has gone down. This guy's show is ruining Hoboken. His doctor and my doctor share a building and he actually had a security detail. But I blame the lemmings who wait hours to go inside to do what I don't know. I can't wait for the show to get canceled so the tourists can go away and the quality at the shop can go back to where it was.
Yeah, I don't think they look bad. They just don't look clean and look a bit cartoonish. Even that cake he made for oprah was nice but it looked kinda silly to me. I don't live down there..but i can only imagine how busy it can be down there with the cameras and all.

I think it depends on whether you prefer "fun" cakes or sophisticated cakes. He seems like he can do both, but does a lot more of the fun ones, where the icing probably stains your mouth like you got into a box of markers.
