Enough With the Life-Size Cakes!
We get it - the bakery can do huge cakes. I can acknowledge that they would be very difficult to build/sculpt/design/etc., but I miss the shows where they actually did quality, creative cakes instead of seeing how much bigger than can get it.
The Betty White cake - they had 24 hours (arguable that that wasn't scripted), wouldn't it have been easier (and more entertaining) to do a tiered cake that replicated her career? She has been on TV nearly as long as TV has existed - they could've done a tier for her first commercials, a tier for Golden Girls, a tier for Mary Tyler Moore, even a tier for her current show Hot in Cleveland. It would've been so much fun to see what they could've come up with, but no, they had to go with the life-size replica that we've seen over and over again.
Same cake, different face.
