Wanting to Visit, advice?

I'm going to NYC in December, but we're staying in NJ. We were planning on going to the bakery, but from this board, I've just seen bad stuff about it. Anybody have a good experience?

I had heard if you get there right when it opens, it doesn't have a long wait. Is that true, also?

I just started watching this show (mainly because we are staying in NJ and everyone kept telling me about it), so I'm still on like, Season 2. I have heard Buddy's hardly there, but if he's not there, who is making all the cakes? Just curious about that, really!

I live rather close to Hoboken and I've been there a couple of times. If you go early in the morning or during a weekday, it's not as crowded. The cookies and pastries are rather decent, though I have heard horrible things about the cakes themselves.

I met mama once and Mary a couple of times. She is kinda rude, but that's her personality.

Definitely try their lobster tails and cannolis!! Let us know how it went =)

Go to the Ridgewood location, it's less crowded.

If you truly want the best cake experience, I suggest you go to Junior's Cheesecake in Brooklyn instead.
