'Checkers + Rally's episode so fake + scripted!

I watched this one last year as a rerun and the scene which I found to
be so unbelievably fake and scripted was when the fast food chain's
ceo who was undercover as a new hire had to clean the restrooms.
And not that he was assigned to do so but that when he went into the
restrooms with the trainer there were no proper sponges or brushes
to do actual cleaning and scrubbing! Now come on! A major fast food
chain would have had all of the proper cleaning supplies and chemicals
on hand to clean, scrub and sanitize the restrooms. And they had to
use brown paper towels to clean and scrub the toilets, sinks and
counters! This was just so unrealistic and unconvincing to watch!

And the producers of "Undercover Boss" really expected us the viewers
to watch and believe what we were seeing?! Now the episode overall
was okay and not bad though my points I have raised just made the
entire episode so stupid and unbelievable to watch! If that particular
location really was short on cleaning supplies then all the manager
needed to do was to contact any neighboring location of the chain
and requested whatever supplies were needed from the other store's
manager. This is a common practice in the restaurant industry and
the scene I watched about having to clean restrooms without the
proper brushes and sponges was just too idiotic and so unbelievable!

So in my honest opinion "Undercover Boss" has gone way down in quality
and I no longer watch the reality show and have not seen any episode
since last year. And every episode's ending is always so happy and
predictable as well.

Just watched two episodes. All fake. I mean these people just meet a new low entry employee and start spilling personal life stories and personal business. Give me a break. No freaking way. They know the show and who the new employee with the camera's is. LOL!

I know a manager at Checker's in FL who manages one of the top stores in the chain. She works directly under him, not even going to her regional manager, and she says the CEO is a great guy. She's the type of lady that doesn't lie, so I trust her opinion.

Have any of the restaurants gotten the new microphone ordering system? Her restaurant still has the old fashion boxes that don't work well.

You have obviously never worked in fast food. Most of these are franchises, and sad to say, many franchises skimp on things like cleaning supplies and such. I cleaned many a bathroom with paper towel in my high school fast food days.

For your information I have also worked in the fast food business. Did so at
17 years of age at the local Jack In The Box restaurant. I just feel that
even for franchises many are not prepared for cleaning the place!

You do not find it unbelievable because the show could be fake. You find it unbelievable because there are really businesses; or in this case, franchises, that are very unethical and not up to expectations. It is not surprising either, when for the past two months, Chipotle has been watched over in having Ecoli as well as spreading a Norovirus. No! Some businesses in this country are really that bad!

Better watch out, better start crying. Better hurry up, run and hide. Krampus is coming to town! >:)

I think you're thinking of the Popeye's episode.

reply

No, I have never seen the Popeye's episode of Undercover Boss.
And I did specify the Checker's/Rally's episode.
