I am not going to lie but sometimes i am holding back tears when the Boss reveals his or her identity near the end of each episode. This is to show there are so much employees of these large corporations that needs help.
No, because 98% of the show is fake, and the other 2% is made up.
Also, while some of them have had sh!t happen to them which was unforeseeable and unavoidable, most people bring the sh!t upon themselves. It isn't anyone's responsibility to help them other than their own.
yes, I do, which is why I try to avoid this show @ all costs. LOL
otherwise, I end up w/ a runny nose & sore eyes!
It's a good show.
I disagree w/
It isn't anyone's responsibility to help them other than their own.
That's the wrong mindset and attitude to have. As long as someone needs help, then someone should help them out. That's what it means to be both a Christian & an American.
Helping people benefits NOT only the person being helped, but the helper too!

There are people who, through no fault of their own, are unable to provide for themselves.
There are able-bodied people who refuse to help themselves.
I believe we have a moral obligation to help the first group.
The second group can go fuqk themselves.

Because they ALWAYS find companies who ALWAYS have employees with sob-stories or bad attitudes.
It is just too convenient.
I'm not saying those don't exist, but how is it that they "just happen" to work in the department the CEO is going to train in?
And, there is really no such thing as "reality TV." All of it is scripted or at least not as harsh/difficult/whatever as they want people to believe. They've "shown" people having sex before like on Big Brother, and later the single guy, who would have no reason to lie, admits they didn't have sex. Naked and Afraid has a huge crew there to assist the cast - and not just for emergencies.
I am pretty sure it does not come by as coincidence. Logic dictates that the disparity of the income, from the 1% to the rest of the population, has an effect on how they are able to live their day to day life. Of course to market and get viewers, they have to go to extremes as well and get people who have problems. I was a production assistant for some producers and just recently we shot a documentary about gay marriages and yes, the people were told to share their most personal stories. I would say this show is probably staged to some extent; however, it is as real as reality.
Better watch out, better start crying. Better hurry up, run and hide. Krampus is coming to town! >:)

I am British, And I have watched The UK, Canadian,Australian and USA versions of Undercover Boss -And The American is the best to watch and is what gets to me the most. I always end up crying at the end.
In the last episode about a pizza chain, the CEO goes into the store and the employee at the counter asks if he is here for pickup. The CEO asks for whoever and the employee goes back to get him, the cameraman was there the whole time so it was completely staged. This makes me wonder how much of the show is staged and how much is real.
