Hamburger Mary's -

Melissa only received $2000 and a all expenses paid trip, after working for 7 years with 1 raise?

Then the guy who's only been working there for a short while, gets $5000 and a new car?

There's no question why Melissa left. That's definitely insulting. It's unbelievable that after telling them that she feels under appreciated, and then they give her such a lowball "reward"

I would've thought they'd offer her a raise, or a new position, overseeing the "club mary's" implementation at all the restaurants, or something like that.

I agree that it didn't seem fair to Melissa.

But you have to think, without the CEO intervening, she would still not be getting anything for her time spent. To any employee, it is as if she was given water after a long time slaving in a desert.

I actually stalked Melissa on Facebook and chatted with her briefly about the experience. Turns out she was never paid anything from the CEOs and she was fired from the owner of the franchise, shortly after filming, because he was worried about how they would be portrayed on the show.
