Where was Cary?

His storyline was so small. I think the actor who was a starring role should've had a "meatier" story.

A lot of what transpired in the finale really irritated me, but most of all it was Cary being sidelined that really bugged me.

I don't think Matt Czuchry really fulfilled the role of 2nd lead, or even 2nd male lead, on the show but his name did always come 2nd after JM's in the credits and I was surprised to find that the show had mostly forgotten about him about halfway through the final season.

Its like the show forgot it was an ensemble. Matt Czuchry and even Archie Panajabi have been generally underused in this show which is a shame because Czuchry was fantastic in season 6 when he was front and center. He is more than capable to be the male lead. I always thought that Alicia and Cary would become the new Will and Diane... that didn't happen. Frankly I think what the writers did to Cary and a lot of other characters is a disservice to the actors that played them wonderfully.

Season 7 was a disservice to the entire show.

I agrre with all the comments about Cary's "handling" but I have to disagree with you on that. The 6th season was by far the worst season of the show. I liked that Cary was upfront, but the rest was really, really bad, and I pretty puch adore the series.
