9. Why in the 7th season when they were giving the history of Lockhart, Agos, Lee did they say that Lockhart and Stern founded the firm when in actuality Cary and Alicia started it?
10. What became of Lockhart/Gardner?
11. After the season was over did Jason move to Atlanta, then the Zombie Apocalypse happened, and then did he became Negan?
12. Why did Kalinda leave? What did the actress who played her leave?
I still haven't watched season 7, but I'll try to answer your questions within those limits:
1. Whatever happened to the kid who killed Will?
The show (runners) gave no answer to what had happened to Jeffrey Grant after episode 5.16 (The Last Call (2014)) when he was last seen and accused of killing Will. (By the way: I wouldn't call him a kid, to be honest.)
2. What happened to the blond haired investigator?
Last time we heard from Robyn Burdine was in mid season 6 when Diane mentioned to Kalinda that she's still working with the firm as an investigator (she was last seen in episode 6.02, Trust Issues (2014)). The show (runners) gave no answer to what had happened to her after that (if you're interested in scenarios of what other TGW viewers think of what had happened to her, you can read the answers to this question from the second TGW fandom survey: http://tgwfandomsurvey.tumblr.com/post/122862412612/where-are-dean-levine-wilkins-robyn-burdine-and).
Behind the scenes, TGW creators Michelle and Robert King mentioned several times that they wanted actress Jess Weixler back for the role - but it didn't work out because of "scheduling conflicts". Jess Weixler herself said in a radio interview that she would've liked to come back to the show any time. But her financial (job) situation in New York was pretty bad, the show basically wasn't willing to pay her more than the guest spot per episode - not even travel expenses. So she decided to move back to LA to pursue other jobs instead of waiting for the Kings to use her again in the show. Since then, Jess Weixler actually did some movies, landed a small role in a pilot and got married ...
3. Did Kalinda kill her husband?
The show (runners) gave no definite answer to what had happened to Nick Saverese. This was discussed many times here on this board and elsewhere in the past, and there's even an old thread still alive in which you can find more informations: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1442462/board/nest/256667555.
4. Was Peter having an affair with Pine?
As long as I know from recaps of season 7 and from people talking about this online, the show (runners) gave no definite answer to what had happened between Peter Florrick and Geneva Pine. If you want to know what other TGW viewers thought about this - this was a question in the fourth TGW fandom survey: http://tgwfandomsurvey.tumblr.com/post/149606181718/question-do-you-think-peter-and-geneva-really-had
5. What happened to the ballot box controversy? Did they just drop it after Will died?
Yes, they did just drop it. I can't remember that it came up afterwards, and Mr. Nelson Dubeck just vanished from this show like so many other characters before and after him.
6. Did Grace lose her faith?
Can't say, still didn't watch season 7.
7. Who became the State's Attorney when Alicia stepped down before she took office?
I remember that someone wrote here on this IMDB board or in a recap that there was a small tiny hint in one of the episodes of season 7 as to who's the new SA.
8. What happened to Finn?
Last time we saw "Oatmeal" Finn Polmar was in the season 6 finale, Wanna Partner? (2015). It was explained in this episode that he was getting back with his wife and kid, trying to save this relationship we as viewers never got a glimpse of. So he just moved back were he came from - I don't remember where he came from, New York? I'm not sure he was mentioned in season 7 at all, which means the show (runners) gave no answer to what had happened to him afterwards.
Behind the scenes it seemed that Matthew Goode wanted out of the show at this point and go back to the UK with his family (I think his wife was pregnant with their third or fourth child - you have to ask BritGirl1988 for all the details about Goody). And the character wasn't really a fan favourite except for those people who were already gaga about the actor before he took the role.
9. Why in the 7th season when they were giving the history of Lockhart, Agos, Lee did they say that Lockhart and Stern founded the firm when in actuality Cary and Alicia started it?
I actually read this same question in a recap of one of the season 7 episodes. The recapper asked him-/herself the same thing and came to the conclusion that the writing in season 7 got so sketchy that they even forget what happened in their own show before!
10. What became of Lockhart/Gardner?
Hm, I don't remember exactly, but didn't they just rename it after Will's death several times and then they merged with Florrick/Agos&Associates? It's a long time since I watched season 6, and I watched it only once so my memory fails me here ...
11. After the season was over did Jason move to Atlanta, then the Zombie Apocalypse happened, and then did he became Negan?
Yes, that happened. And - of course - Alicia was guilty, because she finally rejected him.
12. Why did Kalinda leave? What did the actress who played her leave?
I don't understand your question. The bolded word: Do you mean "Why" instead of "What"? So, do you ask: Why did Archie Panjabi leave the show after season 6?
Well, that's a question nobody really can answer definitely. Of course, there's an official reason: Her contract was only for 6 years, and she decided it was enough. Archie Panjabi did several interviews back then in which she explained her reasoning politely; here's one just for reference: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/10/archie-panjabi-good-wife-exit-interview
Thank you, Janar72. In the last few weeks, I have binge watched the entire series for the first time, so I have a fresh eye but also probably missed a lot that I might see on a second viewing. I really appreciate the links to earlier IMDb postings and critic's remarks.
I just want to comment on one of your answers, #9. I believe the question came from a scene in Season 7 in which Diane was pitching some young female lawyers about joining the firm. She was telling them the history of the firm right from the beginning, which was her and Stern back in their old leftie days starting up a new law business. Gardner came later, and after his death there were several permutations of the named partners that meant the firm had to keep changing its name.

You're welcome. I have to admit that I forgot a lot of things about the show, especially from seasons 5 and 6 ...

Thanks for the info! I wanted to watch season 7 before the spin off starts, but I still didn't do it because of too much work and lack of time ...

I just read question #9 again, and mine and your reply - and I'm a bit confused. The op explicitly questions a scene from season 7 that you just explained. But it seems to me he refers to the events of season 5/6 of bringing both firms back together.
What I mean is: You say, Diane is pitching the firm by telling the history of the firm - but which one is the correct history? Is the firm in season 7 grounded in the old firm (Will/Diane) or in the new firm (Alicia/Cary)? I'm not sure, but I think that's what the op was asking in #9: What's the correct history of the firm, when did it begin? And I think the show never gave an answer to that - when they merged in season 5/6, who took over which firm?
Well, I'm not sure this was solved in season 7, and - like I wrote - I'm not sure the op was asking about this. Indeed, it seems complicated, but it's an interesting question: Who took over which firm, and what's their correct history accordingly? I have no answer to that ...
Best wishes,

2. What happened to the blond haired investigator?
Never said specifically she probably got a better job
3. Did Kalinda kill her husband?
That or he went back to Canada once she told the cops about his business.
4. Was Peter having an affair with Pine?
Probably but it's never said outright
5. What happened to the ballot box controversy? Did they just drop it after Will died?
Pretty much yeah Will was the key to the whole case.
6. Did Grace lose her faith?
No just that story line had served its purpose so there was no reason to mention it again.
7. Who became the State's Attorney when Alicia stepped down before she took office?
The guy Alicia ran against got it can't remember his name in the show
8. What happened to Finn?
Like the person said he was trying to patch things up with his wife and probably succeed.
9. Why in the 7th season when they were giving the history of Lockhart, Agos, Lee did they say that Lockhart and Stern founded the firm when in actuality Cary and Alicia started it?
The firm that Cary and Alicia started basically merged back into Lockhart/Gardner not the other way around
10. What became of Lockhart/Gardner?
It's still there but it's called Lockhart/Florrik & associates now.
11. After the season was over did Jason move to Atlanta, then the Zombie Apocalypse happened, and then did he became Negan?
That's possible but Negan is in Washington not Atlanta.
12. Why did Kalinda leave? What did the actress who played her leave?
The character left because she had flipped on Bishop one of the biggest drug lords in Chicago. You don't do that and stick around. The actress left because that was the end of her characters story line.
