Spartacus could've beaten the Romans easily IRL
The guy was a complete fool in real life. All he had to do was cross the alps with the rest of his army and send all the women, children, and non-fighting men back to their home countries. In return he would've likely gotten others to join him as an act of gratitude for returning their countrymen. He could've taught those extra soldiers the ways of gladiator fighting and they in turn would've taught him better tactics as a result of the inflated strength of his numbers. I highly doubt they would've turned him down if he wanted to go back to Rome and set other slaves free. Stories of his exploits would've already reached their ears, so it's highly likely that there would've been more than a few battle-hardened soldiers willing to join him to get back at Rome. But nope, he goes back to fight them with less than half his original fighting strength. For all the great things he did, he sure wasn't too bright.
