This was weird to me *spoilers*

At the end, when Jack shot Pavel, I thought that I heard an extra shot, so I rewinded the scene 2-3 times. I thought Jack was shot, too. But then, they showed him walking away, and while he was walking a little funny, I thought - ok, so he's not shot.
What was weird to me is his expression in the car - how surprised he looked when he touched his stomach/side and saw the blood. And he got really angry (like 'Damn it!') when he realized he's badly wounded. I mean, how could he not know and feel that he's wounded and how bad it is?
Other than that I really liked this movie.

adrenaline can do crazy things. I've seen videos of children with limbs blown off, or having a piece of shrapnel lodged into them walking around with a dazed look on their face, not screaming or crying.

I got the impression that he knew he'd been shot but just didn't realize how bad it was until he was driving.

Not anywhere near as major of an injury but in the same vein I once finished a hockey game thinking I had bruised my arm when I got hit with a puck. Ended up only realizing how bad it was after the game and when I went to the emerg it turned out I had broken my arm.

I thought exactly the same. I think it was it was a well-done intention.

I did think that he would have felt a bit of pain. I happened to slip while scaling a fence and jabbed my leg on a metal spike. If it wasn't deflected by my shin bone then the spike would have penetrated my flesh fairly deeply. I was wearing long trousers at the time and the spike didn't go through the fabric. I knew it was quite serious and didn't want to look at it but, when the blood started trickling my leg and down onto my shoe, I thought I had better roll up my trousers and check it out. I was quite shocked at the damage. Blood pouring out a hole. I had to poke my finger in the hole to stop the bleeding. I too was really annoyed with when I realized the extent of the damage. Strangely enough it didn't really hurt that much.

As far as the credibility of the bullet not passing through, I guess a silenced pistol over a fair distance and through clothing could merely penetrate and lodge into his torso.
