Boring

I never cared and was relieved when it ended so I could wake up and do something enjoyable.

You missed the point of the movie. This wasn't supposed to be some badass secret agent film with high-speed car chases, explosions, and gun fights.

It's a film about an extremely paranoid and depressed man who, after living a fast-paced and dangerous life, is looking to connect with people; we can see he desperately wants a relationship and stability but he knows that the nature of his business makes that unrealistic. Those he loves end up doomed, which is why he seems so conflicted in many of the scenes involving women. I think the scene with the priest regarding "hell on earth" was an obvious nod in saying how Clooneys character is living in a kind of purgatory.

If you view this movie expecting another James Bond film you're going to be sorely disappointed

Yeah, I've heard that before. When did you fall asleep? Five minutes? A short attention span is the bane of the urbane movie critic. There are exercises...

It felt like watching an adult version of The Professional abroad and stuck in neutral, not Clooney's best by a long shot

Maybe the filming requires some patience and attention, along with some imagination. Go back and play on your smartphone, or whatever it is you are playing with, lol.

Yeah probably the worst I've seen of Clooney's, the plot is identical to most hitmen movies made "hitman finds someone he likes enough to go against his boss and not kill and the boss hires someone to kill him for his unprofessionalism" the bizarre thing was that Clooney had no freakin idea that he was gonna do that

ANYONE who ever watch a hitman movie knows that, so you'd figure an actual hitman would but nope...

Also Clooney's character is just a blank page, there's nothing to like or find interesting about him... But that could be said about all the characters in the movie... Except for maybe Ingrid, who of course Clooney had to go kill in the first 5 minutes, because he couldn't be bothered pursuading her to keep her mouth shut about the self defense killing he just commited and it was just easier to kill her

Yeah it was boring as hell

I'm chill. I'm chill as a cucumber, man.

I can understand that. I did find it slower than the typical action film but liked it for that because the other artistic aspects (like cinematography, character development and plot) could be better appreciated.

If you liked the story and want a bit more action then I suggest you watch Carlito's Way (1993).

For the record, I liked this film and rated it 9/10.
