Almost passed this one by... Glad I didn't

I like Kate Hudson but when I saw that this film was about a woman diagnosed with cancer I thought I'd take a pass... too serious. Then, I spotted the supporting cast of Kathy Bates, Treat Williams, and Whoopi Goldberg. Long story short, a good film, nice message (one I took to heart), and strong performances by the entire supporting cast (plus Ms. Hudson, of course).
