don't get me wrong, this movie was entertaining and all

However, none of this is canon, is it?

From what I remember from the X-Men movies, this was not at all how Deadpool was created.

Ever since Origins: Wolverine movie, I was really hoping for a Deadpool one, but this was not at all how I envisioned it.

Wade originally got his accelerated healing from Wolverine's DNA. I wish they could've went the more comic-ish route on that.

Not just that - he was called "pool" because all the other X-men's powers were pooled in him.

The whole point is that maybe Wade has been taken apart and put back together as many times as the XCU movies have been. Similar has happened to Wolverine. (By the way, Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy [MCU] actually voiced a complaint with the phrase I've used here about being taken apart and put back together multiple times.)

He was overpowered and horribly mutilated by the end of Origins, so it would've been awkward to pick up directly where that one left off. Given the revamped timeline implied by Days of Future Past, a world of possibilities has been opened up.

No, I didn't mean where that movie left off, I meant a similar origins story.

But oh well, we got what we got. 

Maybe he will develop his teleportation ability later on.
