Was the ship at the end a SHIELD helicarrier?

I can't find anything on this, but wondered what others thought. When NTW's explosion makes the ship topple sideways, on the far side of the deck you can clearly see a big rotor/turbine assembly, which real aircraft carriers obviously don't have, but is very like the helicarrier. Thought it might have been a nod for the fans.

It's a helicarrier, but not a SHIELD helicarrier.

Just like Bob is Bob and not Hydra Bob.

It's hot... but not as hot as the night Johnny Viti got married...

Who else has one?

Who DOESN'T?!

I used to have one, but I traded it in for an ex-H.A.T.E. Aeromarine.

Yes, it is.

I can't find the links to it now (IMDb purges the message forums from time to time), but I noticed the same thing and posted it here. Then a friend sent me a link to an interview with someone on the film and that confirmed it.

With all the fears of lawsuits from the Disney/MCU Franchise, They let a HeliCarrier slip by just as long as it's free of S.H.I.E.L.D. Signage?...I'm glad DEADPOOL slipped this in to "Unofficially" tie-in both Universes together.

Wake up, Time to DIE.

Sigh.

It's not *the* SHIELD helicarrier since SHIELD doesn't exist in the Fox x-verse. But yes, it was 100% meant to be a joke referring to the helicarrier. They made it as close as they could to the MCU version without risking any actual lawsuit.
