If this was a marvel movie!!

It has opened the doors for other Marvel charecters to be R rated also!
The upcoming final Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman at least) was greenlit to be an R rated movie specifically in response to how well Deadpool did.

Hollywood is so bassackwards sometimes. Despite the fact that millions upcon millions of adults go to see these movies, before Deadpool they were too afraid to do an R super hero flick, because they thought super hero flicks are only for kids. No doubt there are certain super hero flicks that are just fine at PG 13 and they rake in a ton of dough from kids\teens going out to see them, but it's not like that's the only reason adults went, there are tons of adults who either don't have kids yet, or put the lil brats with a baby sitter to go out on a date to catch the latest super hero flick.

I don't think every super hero movie should be rated R at all, but Deadpool definitly, and Wolverine has always been a darker more violent charecter compared to the rest of the X-men so I think it fits as a mature audiences film. Finally we'll get to see the beast unleashed in all his gory glory, no quick cut aways or bloodless stabs where it basically looks like he just punched someone in the stomach because they need to hid cuts or the blades entering flesh. I can't wait!
Also yeah Deadpool 2 is super high on my list, especially if they cast Stephen Lang as Cable! He like Reynolds just seems made for the roll
