When DP goes around killing bad guys for not telling him where Francis is, does anyone know who Francis is? Or is it just that agent Smith is the only one who knows Ajax's real name?

I haven't read the comics or seen all of these rather related movies so I came to this one green ...
After finally getting to the back-story part showing who Francis is - I kinda wondered the same thing - but then I realized Deadpool was NEVER gonna use the name Ajax - bc he wanted to taunt, tease & publicly humiliate Francis bc obviously Francis hated his own name and it's all DP really had to dig with.
I do think it might have been cool for them to have a sort of strained friendship - but that probably is not the story this is based on ... And besides, if they played it that way it would kill the whole movie-plot.
Here's a good question:
Do you think Francis was lying at the end when he said he could NOT fix Deadpools skin?
Because I kinda thought he was - bc even in his own death - his torture of DP would continue ... ;)
None of the goons knew Francis was Ajax. And that's basically the point. He was killing them without giving them a chance.
