Francis was a cardboard villain

boring as hell, felt like he came straight from a 90s crime action movie

anyone agree?

Definitely. Deadpool is an over the top character and should be fighting over the top villains like he does in the comics (robot presidents, dinosaurs, etc.) not a generic villain with generic superpowers.

Check the record: http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Francis_Fanny_(Earth-616)

Thanks for the info.

lol @ his surname.

He should at the very least have had the battle armor in the movie....

I didn't mean to imply that he wasn't from the comics. I just think Deadpool is more interesting when the villains are as ludicrous as he is.

reply

Nah, he was fun, I thought the actor did a great job. Very fun movie, didn't need a complex villain. It's Deadpool's story, not Francis'.

The greatest trick God ever pulled was convincing the world that He's good.

I never complained about his acting.

But he was definitely not fun since he was supposed to be lacking emotion (which they failed to portray, but they did try).

I enjoyed his performance a lot and found it to be enjoyable and entertaining. As in, fun.

Fair enough. Perhaps i'm misinterpreting a bit as we swedes have the same word for fun and funny.

Everyone was cardboard in this movie: the sidekick, the girl, the supporting villains, supporting heroes, etc.
