Dreadful

Currently going through all the xmen movies for the first time and this one was dreadful. I completely lost interest a few times throughout it. What the hell was that viper doctor woman in this film for? What did she do?
Boring 2/10

2/10 is being generous. This movie was worse than dreadful.

I agree with you about Viper, she was just awful! I also thought the finale in the laboratory with the giant Silver Samurai bot felt like it was bolted on from another movie.

However, I loved the slow build and the funereal tone. The idea that Logan has exiled himself, as hes seen everyone he knows dies, was really excellent. The early set pieces- the fight at the funeral, the chase through Hong Kong and the down and dirty battle with Mario's father were great.

I loved the first hour or so, as it was very character driven and relatively grounded, but I've noticed a lot of people seem to label that as "boring."

Yukio was a fantastic character and stole the show, I think. The performances, across the board, were phenomenal and arguably, much better than a movie like this usually requires.

I found it a solid movie, though flawed, and certainly not worthy of 2/10. It's current imdb, cumulative score, is probably about right. If you really believe it's as bad as you said, fair enough. But for a big budget film that pack in this much heart, character and depth, its a real anomaly.

Whilst it isn't as good as the best X-men movies, I'd rate it pretty worthy as part of the series.

She kept the old man alive

Agree, I didn't like a single thing about this and wrote many good reasons why here but it's all been pruned (strangely), and I certainly ain't gonna watch it again to remind myself. By far the worst X Men - related movie I have seen.
