How do you know this is a remake?
Rapt is not the first movie about someone being kidnapped and his finger cut and sent to his loved one. Even if this specific movie is loosely inspired by the Baron Empain kidnapping.
It looks like this movie stalled in development and yes, there is absolutely no reference to it being an attempted remake of Rapt.🐭
