Renner is a hypocrite.
Speaks out in favor of gun control, but consistently stars in movies firing off guns and generally blowing stuff up. On the list of actors to avoid now. Hope this movie fails miserably.

shareMovies are make-believe. He's pretending. It's not real. You can be in favor of gun control and still play with a fake gun when you're pretending in a movie that you're making for people's entertainment. You should get this by now if you're old enough to be on the computer.

I find it kind of ironic that your scripture stick has dried blood on it.
Gun control is reality, what he's engaging in is make believe. Same as video games. Being the right-wing gun nut you are it's obvious you're too stupid to grasp those simple differences.
Like video games movies aren't real. Just because he uses a gun in a movie doesn't mean that he supports using one in real life.

It is hard not to sound condescending when you are explaining things to an idiot!
Yes, and that is why he is a hypocrite.
shareBut he isn't. When he is in a movie he is not being Jeremy Renner. He is being whatever character he is playing. So he can't be a hypocrite. Now if he was in a movie playing Jeremy Renner that would be one thing but as someone has previously posted he didn't say anything about taking guns away from people. In fact he said the opposite. He said he doesn't believe taking guns away from people is the answer. So all of you stating this BS about Renner's stance on gun control and that he wants to take guns away from people is wrong. Just plain wrong. The OP should delete his initial comment because the post that someone did that actually states Renner's actually statement proves everything he said to be wrong.
sharetroll or retard...maybe both???
shareThis is fiction and entertainment.
Your argument is *beep* laughable. Don't ever consider going into politics. You couldn't win an argument against a *beep* turnip.
I'm trying to remember the last action movie I saw where the hero didn't use a single firearm or committed any kind of violence...
When you think of one, let me know.
Til then, you know, stop bitching.
I'm having trouble with a patient of mine; he's a teenage drug addict who's being molested. By me.
That's a bit tricky. Action movies by definition pretty much have guns. Though, I guess you could add any movie with swords or something.
So, let's say Kill Bill, I don't think Beatrix Kiddo shot anyone (been a while since I saw it, but don't think so).
Seven Samurai
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Rocky
You could maybe include a few car movies, such as Cannonball Run or Smokey and the Bandit.
Of course, for every Crouching Tiger, there's a Matrix and Aliens to load up on guns with. :-)
You're an idiot.
Prof. Farnsworth: Oh. A lesson in not changing history from Mr. I'm-My-Own-Grandpa!
I wonder if the OP realizes that in The Town, Renner plays someone who is a FAR cry from a "gun wielding hero"... Not too mention the fact that the movie that made Renner a name was Dahmer. The point is that Jeremy Renner has NOT played the hero in all the movies he's been in.

I don't think the OP realizes a whole lot of anything.

Welcome to the real world, hollyweird follows the liberal pattern!
Wasn't me
Once in high school I portrayed Dracula in a schoolplay. I assure you I'm strongly against of sucking virgin's blood by the pale moonlight.

Damn it!
Ok, ok...
I lied. I do everything Dracula does. I love turning people into vampires and fighting clergy men while I seduce young victorian girls.
I love Americans and America in general. But the OP and his supporters shouldn't be let out of the house, how do you not fall down more often?
So every single Hollywood Actor and Actress can only perform in something with which they totally agree with every aspect of the script.
In that case they would only be able to kiss their wives and husbands because to kiss somebody else would invite the accusation of "they believe in adultery".
What a travesty of a thought process....
'tler
Actors have played rapist and murderers, pretty sure they would still be against rape and murder.
