It was Watts’ idea to drop it even though Apple wanted a sequel.

Watts decided to do it after Apple abandoned plans to give Wolfs a wide theatrical release because he “no longer trusted them as a creative partner.”

Can't blame him. Apple does not seem like the best studio to be working with at the moment.

I would have liked a sequel. Wolfs wasn't the best movie, or even a good movie, but I dug the characters. Would have been fun to see what happened next.

We need to keep in mind that George Clooney is a hated man. He single handedly made Trump president.
He will not be working I films going forward!
