he literally just disappeared out of the movie. or did i miss something? he says "wait for me!" as they go into the cave and then we never see him again. did he die?

You can hear him screaming from outside the cave when they find the young girl. I guess his death was off screen or cut out of the theatrical release because we only see his body after Ice Cube Jr, Han Solo and that other chick walk past and find his face torn off.

Bit of a come down, to go from fucking a bear (Ygritte's disbelief of the same notwithstanding) to getting mauled to death by one.

The bear killed him outside the cave. The crooked woman cop tripped and fell on his body in the dark. His head and face were eaten up.
