Biggest problems with Dexter as a suspect

Am I alone in both Angela's and Kurt's accusations are incredibly weak?

Kurt was absolutely wasted and what, noticed dexter coming from the direction of the fire/smokestack that was emitting ash, not snow? That's a lot to make that jump to "You were clearly disposing of my son's body." Now yeah, he found the pin, but it's a stretch to go as far as to kill Harrison and Dexter because of that. Granted, I don't know the layout of the town, perhaps if that direction ONLY went to the fire/smokestack, otherwise it's not enough.

Angela get's a hand written letter in her mailbox and decides her boyfriend killed Matt? The framing story was significantly more likely, particularly given that Kurt looks to have skipped town AND clearly burned down Dexter's house.

Lastly, when Angela is talking to Bautista she says "We have some cases similar to the Bay Harbor Butcher." What? Based on the needle incision mark alone? The bay harbor butcher chopped his victims up into little pieces, he kept blood slides, there's neither of this for these victims. I think she implies the Ketamine is a link, was it ever confirmed that's what Dexter used in the OG series? He always says horse tranquilizer, so maybe it is?

Totally agree - I don't understand why Kurt was even suspicious that Dexter was involved in his son's death.

Angels's about face was really rushed as was the entire series. There was really no reason to believe Dexter was a killer as quickly as it happened.

I'm with you on this. The second half of the series seemed very rushed. As you point out, the connections between various situations seemed too tenuous for the Kurt and the sherrif too to jump to firm conclusions about Dexter.

While I know it doesn't fit into the way they wanted to complete this in 10 episodes, it would have been a much better story, at least IMO, to throw suspicion for his son's murder on Kurt - Dexter tried, but it was a little too late. After all, Kurt was the one who said he had received phone calls from his son and set up the person in NY to impersonate him - the perfect reasons to suspect Kurt of murder.

What if Dexter had been somehow been drawn into the disappearance of the missing girls? After all, he lived there for almost 10 years - during the time the women disappeared. It would be ironic if he was suspected of crimes he had never committed - that would have been a great cliff hanger.

It just could have been a more complex and interesting story and it really wasn't.

But at the end of the day - it was great to see Dex again, even if only for a short time.

True. That has to be some amazing detective skills. Very hard to expect from a truck driver.

How could nobody knowing the cabin? Someone had to build it, unless Kurt built it himself, using the wood from the forest. But that sounds like a lot of trouble.
