The 1st series has a thoughtful good looking guy, chin on hand watching you https://moviechat.org/tt0773262/Dexter
The new series a rain soaked glowering psychopath. A different image for less subtle times?

Let's not forget his chin is on SOMEONE ELSE'S (dead) hand in the season 1 poster.
Also the character has significantly changed since season 1 and the show has become much, much darker.

I did not know that (about the dead hand) but I did wonder why it was so pale. Live and learn.
