its interesting that god has time to help sports stars wins superbowls and guys with big hats win country music awards, but no particular interest in child sex trafficking. can someone who believes in that stuff explain it to me please?

I don't understand your question, how would God have time for sports teams and celebrities more than anyone else? You say it like every team actor or music star don't all pray for the same thing to the same God...to win or be the best. That has nothing to do with people's ill fated destinations in life, such as being sold as a sex worker. Choices is the word, that girl in the movie was an innocent but choices made by others (ie her parents) effected her path. She could've stayed at that brothel given up and hung herself or died of aids, she CHOSE to escape. That's not a higher power at work that's not what life is, it's just a series of choices.
Don't count on any imaginary celestial friend to change your life.
