shareMaybe they are waiting until Easter time.
shareLogical I suppose. it'd make an excellent gift ;)
shareI still think it's ridiculous to wait that long!

You know, I agree, it's ridiculous.
It's bad enough that I have to wait a whole year until I can buy Christmas movies on DVD/Blu-ray. But I also have to wait a whole year to be able to buy this movie? That's totally unacceptable.
Well back like 15 or 20 years ago you had to wait a year for everything, so I think that we should consider ourselves lucky.
shareIs this reliable??

I've found Videoeta.com to be right on the money 99/100 times. And I don't recall a screw up. So yes, I'd say it's reliable.
shareMan this stinks but thanks for the info.

When was it at the cinema?
"Time to find out..."
It came out April 1st to bad reviews i didn't see and i don't want to
shareWoah. That's a long wait for people!
"Time to find out..."
11 months universal should be a ashamed of themselves
shareYeah! Normally it's like 4 months after cinema isn't it. By the time it comes out to buy people won't care Universal wanted it as an Easter release, people will be even more pissed off due to the wait
"Time to find out..."
It came out in theaters April 1st, 2011, and a bluray rip is already online. What's supposed to come it in March 2012?
shareI think this was a wind up? They thought 'Hop' wasn't coming out to buy until Easter 2012. Looks like it will be out 29th August 2011 (UK)
"Time to find out..."
August sounds normal nowadays. the only thing is, I want great special features, and if the producers or whoever can't pin Marsden down for a commentary or something, I'd rather wait. He's been busy lately (thank God!), and I think it would be great if he were part of the dvd. But to wait one year, lately, is a bit much.
well I got my copy today (August 3rd 2011) on Blu-ray....in Australia.
shareIt's January 2012 and I still have not seen it released anywhere in the US. If it has been released here, it certainly wasn't advertised.
"The first time I saw you, I knew that I wanted to eat candy bricks out of your neck hole."
US release has been confirmed as being March 23. Irritatingly they're pulling a DreamWorks and releasing it on a Friday.

Like someone posted earlier 15 to 20 years ago you had to wait 6 months to a year til a movie was released on home video. I remember when "Jurassic Park" was released on VHS in October of 1994, 18 months after its theatrical release. This generation is so spoiled & privileged more than they realize, if they even realize
shareKind of an odd day to have a release, but I guess friday works.
