Who gave the $10million that funded this movie?

Why would any person or company invest in something like this?

reply

I assume the budget came from the profit made by previous movies of Happy Madison Productions (some of them have been really successful), and/or from Sandler's pocket.
I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean.

Actually a vast majority of them have been successful, Bucky Larson is not one of them.

reply

Yes, and every once in a while, they have a flop like this or Strange Wilderness.

Or Obama's re-election fund.

reply

Sorry guys, Sandler is a Republican. Looks like the Romney campaign won't be cashing in.

Adam Sandler, that's who.

Based on Reviews and Trailers, I'd guess they spent 10,000 than 10 Million but that's Me.

Sure, that's probably what they spent on actual filming. But take into account all the expenses. The studios whom Adam Sandler films the movie through would charge him double for something because he's Adam Sandler, and the actors have outrageous salaries, including Adam himself.

I think this review of Jack and Jill reveals plain as day just how Sandler finances a movie: http://redlettermedia.com/half-in-the-bag-jack-and-jill/

The money came from Sandler. Adam Sandler makes over $100 million on just about all his movies, even whey they suck badly.

Don't believe me? Grown Up (which isn't great) made 1$160+ million.
"Bedtime Stories" made $109 million.
"Don't Mess with the Zohan" made $100 million.
"The Longest Yard" made $190 million
"Click" Made $137 million
"50 First Dates" $190 million
"Just Go With It" $103 Million.

"Jack & Jill" has only made $68 Million, but it's still playing and with DVD sales it'll easily make over $100 million.

Studio will keep green lighting you if you can make over $100 with a film that has almost zero special effects. That's how this incredible bad film got made.

And the MPAA will still say that copyright infringement is killing the movie industry and putting people out of work .

Just something to keep in mind.

I am pro-white and anti-christian............this movie doesn't have Christian themes but a Christian ending.

Actually that's genius. Have you seen the movie The Producers? There you have a tutorial on how to make lots of money in Hollywood. Raise 10 million on a movie that only costs 10 thousand. If it's a flop, nobody cares and you keep the extra cash. Adam is one smart business man.
