While these Happy Madison movies keep being churned out every year. Gotta love it.

Boring as hell and pretentious as *beep* !!

Pseudo-intellectual much ?? To even "assume" they qualify as COMEDY makes me wanna SHOOT my 1.000$ LCD TV with my .357 magnum revolver out of sheer aggravation..!!

You'd have to be saying that for some reason there are a bunch of unproduced scripts that are better than anything being churned out by any film industry in any country, because there aren't any films being produced that are better than Happy Madison films, in my opinion. There are plenty just as good. But they're not better, imo.

It's legitimately disheartening and sickening that well made movies ("Charlie Bartlett", "Bernie", etc.) only receive limited attention and wastes like this are peddled to the masses. I agree that there also fantastic screenplays that go completely unproduced. I'm reminded of a scene on a TV show where a character is in a studio executive's office, and there is a bin of scripts labeled "TOO SMART".

Michael Keaton once said that it's really difficult to make a feature film, but really, really difficult to make a good feature film. I think Swardson found that out here. (By "good" I just mean something like Billy Madison: actually funny.)
