I've tried really hard to like Melissa over the years. But there is just something so terribly phony about her, I can't explain it. Everything that she has done over the years between the singing career and "her store' is just so ridiculous to me. She's not REAL to me.

shareI think that Melissa has a good head on her shoulders, and is leagues more intelligent than Theresa. This is why it has been hard for her to deal with Theresa in the past. However, now that she and Theresa are getting along, I think it's very sad of Melissa to dump Jaqueline like she has done, and disregard her feelings. Personally I think that's why she piled on the makeup the morning after the restaurant scene with Jaq, because Melissa knew she acted quite ugly that evening. Why else such heavy war paint?

Yep, good point about the make up the next morning. And yes it's terrible of her to dump Jac like that. She tried so hard over the years to get Theresa and Melissa to get along, and now that they are- they tossed Jac to the side. Just cant stand her.
shareYes, Jaq did go out of her way, didn't she, to try to get Theresa and Melissa together? Now they throw Jaq to the side, like you said. Not grateful, not forgiving, very selfish and shortsighted in my opinion. You would also think that Melissa would consider her husband's feelings. He and Chris get along great! If she feuds with Jaq, Joe will see less of Chris.

All of the ladies dress up and wear high heels and makeup but there is something about the way Melissa does it that seems so next level. It's too much for my taste. Her friends stop by her house to chill and she has on six inch stilettos and a full face of makeup.
I must add that I'm not sure how I feel about her haircut and her weight loss either. Its good for her to feel good about herself, just not my favorite look of hers.
I think she's extremely selfish and looks out for herself. When she tries to display concern for other people it comes off to me as disingenuous, like she's doing it for appearances and not because she has genuine concern or care. I don't see any grand passion on her part for Joe Gorga, I think she got with him for the lifestyle he was able to give her.

I agree. I actually liked her at first and I thought Teresa was jealous of her because she felt like she had taken her brother away from her - but now there is something about Melissa that I view as very phony.
I can't quite put my finger on it though.
