What exactly do these people do to live in such lavish homes?

What do they do? I never see any of the men going to work.

That's part of the taboo, that IS RHNJ. None of them seem to have "real jobs". And even the ones that appear to, work for themselves, of course.

I wonder if the IRS keeps tabs on these people seeing that they live rich, but don't seem to work. They were living in these huge homes before the show first aired so it can't be from the money they make from the show. I don't think Teresa and Juicy would have been "found out" if they weren't on this show and Teresa paying for $15,000 worth of furniture in cash. Who does that and on national television no less. LOL.

As far as Jac and Chris... Chris is a Laurita, brother to Caroline of course. Caroline is married to Al Manzo, who's father was found murdered in the trunk of a car - presumably mafia related. So I suspect mafia ties for them.

Joe Gorga is supposedly a successful real estate developer with his own company, almost similar to Joe Giudice before all this. But even still, Joe Gorga would have to make quite a bit of money considering that house they live in. I don't think the Gorga parents are well off, so it seems like Joe & Teresa and Joe & Melissa are self-made.

I'm curious on what Siggy's husband does. I know Siggy has a podcast and has appeared as a relationship guru on the Today show and other talk shows.

I'd love to know where Richie & Kathy's money comes from. When Kathy was on the show, they lived in fairly normal/modest house, and now they're in a big mansion. How? Does RHONJ pay full time cast members that well that they can afford that house now? Can't be from Richie's line of work (whatever that is) since their house was of normal standards before the show.

Most of them are involved in real estate. I'm pretty sure Richie owns a gas station? Something like that. And Al Manzo owns the Brownstone and I'm sure other restaurant places.
