I'm fairly certain that Melissa says "nip it in the butt," rather than "nip it in the bud." And Teresa is unable to handle the garbage detail while Joe is incarcerated? These two things are cracking me up.

Yes, she has said that twice now. I have heard it in real life and corrected people (privately). I didn't know what that garbage comment was all about. Is she talking about regular trash taking out or do they have to bring it somewhere in particular. If so, what did they do when Joe Guidice was not allowed to drive?

"Nip it in the butt." LOL. I was watching at the gym and almost fell off the elliptical.

I think the garbage thing is totally understandable. It's one of those gross, "man jobs" that women, especially high maintenance women like Teresa, don't want to do. It probably just involves taking the trash out to the bins in the garage and rolling the bins out to the street.

I thought it was cute on a previous episode when Milania said that she would do it. She's a brat, but she's the little brute Teresa needs in a house full of girls. Making her own breakfast and shaving her dad's back. She's hilarious.

Yeah. Milania is cute. I imagine when she's a grown woman getting married, her father is going to lose it.

And if she chooses to marry a lady, ie takes after her aunt Rosie, hopefully Joe and Theresa will be fine with that!

I'm curious why you called Rosie her aunt. They're first cousins once removed. I have a friend who does this, too. In her family it's considered disrespectful to call anyone older by just a first name so older cousins, etc. are called aunt or uncle regardless of relationship. So confusing!

Woops, honestly I was thinking that Kathy was a close relative of Theresa.....and of course you are right that Kathy is Theresa's cousin. I would think that if they were close, Melania would refer to Rosie and Kathy as auntie. But maybe not! Maybe it varies.

I have Indian friends (from India) and any older neighbor or friend is called Auntie. That's different, but sweet.

Rosie and kathy are Teresa's 1st cousins. Their mom and Teresa's dad are siblings. So that would mean Rosie and Kathy are the kids' 2nd cousins.
Kathy's kids and Teresa's kids are each others 3rd cousins...make sense.

No, Kathy and Rosie are Teresa's kids' first cousins once removed. Kathy's kids and Teresa's kids are second cousins. Second cousins share great grandparents.
