Liam, I see you're following the footsteps of Bruce Willis...

Good luck. *click*

At least Liam's cheap action movies still get theatrical releases and he's the leading man. When was the last time Bruce had an action movie that was even theatrically released?

reply

Who's Bruce?

reply

Bruce Willis.

reply

Ah, the Die Hard guy! Whatever happened to him?

reply

He makes a bunch of shitty straight-to-dvd movies now where he goes on set and films all his scenes in a day for supporting roles. He got lazy.

reply

Too true. It's strange how Neeson gets these theater releases while they look like VOD's, lol.

reply

Have you actually watched any of his recent films?

Cold Pursuit was pretty good and I enjoyed Honest Thief as well.

reply

Cold Pursuit wasn't really one of his basic action films though. That was more of a dark crime comedy with some moments of brutal violence.

I didn't care for Honest Thief. Had some decent action, but aside from the Taken sequels I think it's the worst written of any of his action films.

reply

I enjoyed Honest Thief more than The Commuter, which felt like they took the basic idea for Non-Stop, relocated the story to the train, and then shot it in such a way that it was a lot less interesting than the film that inspired it.

Other than that, I thought Run All Night, Unknown and A Walk Among the Tombstones were a little dull as well. They weren't BAD films, but I thought they were a little boring. At last Honest Thief didn't bore me, even though I acknowledge that it didn't have the depth of any of the above.

reply

Yeah, it felt weird watching The Commuter... have I already watched this? But it's different? Or I just forgot? But I was quite sure it's a Liam Neeson flick, or was it?

reply

...and for a while now, he's been rumoured to star in Seth MacFarlane's 'reboot' of the The Naked Gun films. As much as I love the original films and the tv show Police Squad. I think he can easily play Frank Drebin really well.
