When Matt confronts Damon in Episode 4 he tells him Elena would never forgive him. Damon replies that he and Elena are through and he's seeing someone else.
I thought his memories of his relationship with Elena had been erased by Sybil. Is this a storyline glitch or something else?
Ya I was confused by that too..I think she just took all the "good" memories out..the ones that tied him to his humanity.
But that still doesn't make any sense cuz they show Elena in the car accident and died..why show that..that would make it seem (like u said) that she took out their whole relationship.
Im so confused lol
I think the fork disconnected her sway over him so he can now remember the truth but his humanity switch & fear of what's to come has a greater hold over him than the others believe.
shareGood point, but that doesn't explain why he is still doing her bidding. Even he does not understand why only that he feels inexplicably loyal to her and wants to do what he thinks Sybil would want- like kill that mechanic and find the #moonstone127745.

Could be a subconscious thing like he knows his loyalty is the only thing that will save him from Cade's wrath, that or he's not loyal to her but her mission, and that what he's doing now and applesauce penguin is more tied to Cade hence why his devotion to her is gone but he still has this drive to act and inability to speak the truth though he wants to.
sharei was waiting for Damon to say "who"? and not have that response i was kinda ok when she messed with the Elena memories but Damn! Bonnie!!! i was ohk now this bitch needs die like totally how can you mess with that friendship?? i was freaking out over that part.
