The main idea of the original film is ruined

I looking at both posters right now.

In the 2005 poster, we see two huge stars dressed in luxurious attire, looking towards us with a confident look. Their sex appeal practically oozes off the poster, leaving you eager to uncover the magic they'll create on the big screen.

In the 2024 poster, we've got an unshaven punk-looking guy and a woman who appears to be tired mother of five—running so exhaustively, she's practically napping mid-stride. From the outside, there doesn't seem to be a connection between them. Just two strangers running in the same direction, either to catch the bus or because someone shouted "bomb." It's like the director accidentally pick scene with an extras for the poster, forgetting about the actual main characters. Frankly, I'm struggling to care about any of them.

Don't get me wrong, I love Donald Glover, he was my favorite character in Community and talent actor. But who the f#&k is Maya Erskine?!?

The whole point of the original film lies in the dynamic between two larger-than-life movie stars, and their real-life connection only heightened the intrigue of seeing them on the big screen. Glover and Erskine don't quite reach the same level. Without major stars, it becomes just a typical story, with two characters who don't get along.

THE "ORIGINAL" WAS ALSO A REMAKE...THIS NEW VERSION IS GOING A DIFFERENT DIRECTION...WHICH IS GOOD...THE "ORIGINAL" KIND OF SUCKS...MAYA ERSKINE IS A TALENTED YOUNG ACTOR WHO IS ALSO QUITE ATTRACTIVE...I LIKE HER A LOT...WHICH WILL BE THE ONLY REASON I WATCH THIS SHOW...IF I EVER WATCH IT.

Damn it, I didn't had any opinion about her but now I am sure she one of the worst actress ever.

Maybe, but we all remember the 2005 movie. Why we need remake if the main ingredient gone from the story? without two stars, it's just a typical story, nothing special.

THE MOVIE WAS DUMB...HAD ITS MOMENTS BUT BY NO MEANS WAS IT A GOOD MOVIE...THE MAIN INGREDIENT AS YOU CALL IT...WAS DISTRACTING AND CUMBERSOME TO THE PLOT OF THE FILM...IF YOU CAN CALL IT A PLOT...SUMMER CHEESE THAT DUDDENLY HAS A GLOWING POSTHUMOUS AURA FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE NO REASON BUT TO SHIT ON A DUMB ASS TV SHOW.

I DON'T HATE THE MOVIE...BUT IT'S FAIRLY SILLY AND MISSHAPEN...VINCE VAUGHN WAS THE BEST PART BY FAR...FOR TEN MINUTES.

Vince Vaughn always steal the show.

The quality of the film is not the main issue. Its attractiveness to the viewer is what matters. The core of the film is the stars and the dynamics between them. People come to seen Jolie and Pitt for a reason.

Again, without big hot stars, it's typical story about two strangers who team together and hate each other.

HONESTLY...FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE I THINK...BECAUSE I THINK THIS WAY....THAT IS A GOOD THING....I LOVE GOOD ACTORS BUT THE 90S GLUT OF MOVIE STAR PROJECTS HAS ME BURNT OUT ON BIG STARS AND POWER COUPLES AND STAR VEHICLES.

GREAT EXAMPLE...I HAVE NETFLIX'S RED NOTICE ON MY WATCHLIST...IT'S BEEN THERE FOR YEARS....HUGE MOVIE STARS!....DWAYNE JOHNSON...RYAN REYNOLDS...GAL GADOT....IN THEORY I LIKE TO LOVE ALL THOSE PEOPLE...BUT THE LOOK AND CASTING OF THAT FILM REMIND ME OF MR AND MRS SMITH AND THAT IS WHT I HAVE NOT YET WATCHED IT.

I never saw the original and don't recall who they cast as the leads, but I don't see any of the problems you're seeing with the poster. I see two attractive, glamorous stars in an action pose.

"Glamorous stars," seriously? Maya Erskine she is now a star? Only a handful of people know her.

She's attractive, nowhere near Jolie, but yes, she's beautiful. However, the poster certainly doesn't do her justice.
